Agincourt Osteopathic Clinic Coronavirus (COVID-19)
In the interests of the health and well-being of our patients, it is with real regret that we have taken the decision to close the clinic for the next two to three weeks. We will be constantly reviewing the situation and monitoring advice and guidelines from the UK Government. Patients with appointments in the following weeks will be contacted directly.
If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact us.
We would like to reassure all of our current and future patients that we have taken steps to ensure the ongoing safety and well-being of our patients here at the clinic in the context of the current Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.
In order to maintain these measures we have ensured half hour gaps between clients, therefore ensuring there will only be one patient at a time in the clinic.
Any patients suffering from fever/elevated temperature, however mild, and/or new cough/headache/flu symptoms will also be asked to please reschedule their appointments for a future date; please refer to guidance for symptoms and action from Welsh Government (COVID-19) and UK Government (COVID-19) .
Furthermore, due to the nature of osteopathic treatment, all patients over 65 years of age and any with relevant preexisting or underlying medical conditions will be asked to reschedule their appointments until further notice.
Patients under 65 who are well and healthy but who live with elderly or vulnerable relatives, or those patients whom have regular contact with the elderly or vulnerable, are also asked to consider whether their visit to the clinic is advisable at this time (please refer to Gov.UK COVID-19 Guidance on Social Distancing and for Vulnerable people).
The clinic will remain open to those who are under the age of 65, are fit and healthy, and whom have no relevant underlying medical conditions which might make them particularly vulnerable to COVID-19.
There is evidence that pre and even asymptomatic carriers can transmit COVID-19. Osteopathic treatment is carried out over 30-40 minutes in a close and ‘hands on’ setting so we believe the above measures to be necessary.
Any patients already booked in will be contacted directly. If you have any questions please feel free to the contact the clinic using the ‘Contact Us’ tab above.
