pearsWhat happens on consultation?

If you contact the clinic for dietry advice, you will probably be sent an assessment form through the post. Claire or Hannah can then analyse it before you have your hour long consultation. This  ensures that your appointment is used as productively as possible.

During the first appointment, you will be asked more questions and may be examined to help with the diagnosis. We may look to rule out conditions such as liver disease, gall bladder disease, or Crohn`s disease at this initial appointment.
We may suggest that you consult your GP for blood tests, ultrasound scans or other tests, if these might help with diagnosis - or you can choose to have these tests performed privately through the Clinic. Two tests that prove to be of great value are Hair Mineral Analysis (£48) and Food Antibody or Food Allergy testing (from £50).cauliflower
Within this first hour you will not only receive a diagnosis but also advice on a suitable diet to enhance your absorption and digestion of nutrients. You will be given advice on re-hydrating the body and told which foods to avoid. Suggestions will be made for foods to introduce or substitute. Advice will be given on supplements that might be beneficial for you.
We are here to support you through your "new way of eating" and may suggest a follow up to see how you are progressing, to encourage you and to make further suggestions.
Claire and Andrew are trained in Visceral Osteopathy which helps the digestive system to function correctly.
If this or traditional Osteopathy is thought to be of help to your condition you will be informed of this.
