The Agincourt Clinic is situated in the heart of the historic town of Monmouth where it has been providing the highest quality of Osteopathic care to patients for over 20 years. The Clinic has recently changed hands allowing Claire Love and Andrew Michie to fulfill a longtime dream of opening a residential retreat in Spain. The incoming principle Osteopath, Brendan Girones, first worked alongside Claire and Andrew and then worked as a locum before they departed for Spain.
Brendan has broad experience in the practice of Osteopathy and has been in clinical practice for over 10 years. He has completed post-graduate training in structural, cranial and visceral osteopathy, sports injury and myofascial treatment, as well as ante- and post-natal care. He has observed and treated at the Osteopathic Children’s Centres in Manchester and London and has trained with senior members of the Sutherland Cranial College.
After graduating from the European School of Osteopathy, Brendan practiced as the principal Osteopath in a busy multi- disciplinary clinic in Antigua, W.I. He then worked in various practices in London before returning to Canada where he worked primarily at the Halifax Osteopathic Health Centre, one of the premier manual therapy clinics in Nova Scotia.
Brendan enjoys practicing all the various approaches within Osteopathy and treats patients of all ages from newborns to the elderly. He is also very experienced in treating sports injuries, having treated many professional and semi professional athletes, including footballers, cricketers, rugby players, rowers, track and field and Canada Games athletes as well as America’s Cup Yachtsmen for injury recovery and prevention as well as for optimising performance.
Farewell From Claire and Andrew
'We would like to take this opportunity to say farewell and thank you to all of our patients for their loyal support over the years. We are sad to say goodbye and also excited to be realizing a dream we have had for ages: to own and run our own residential retreat where we can guide patients holistically on their journey toward health and well-being. We are delighted to be able to hand over our practice to Brendan as we feel he has the right approach to provide continuing care for our patients, something that was of the utmost of importance to us when looking for our replacement.
He works in a similar way to how we work, is trustworthy, confident and has loads of good energy. He first worked alongside us in the clinic and then as a Locum for a few months before taking over the clinic. We can't think of a better Osteopath to look after you and we are sure you will be well cared for. We both wish you all the best in life and health: Que te vaya bien!'
